These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access and use of Cockpit ("the Platform"), a knowledge management and data intelligence platform operated by Data Value Partners B.V. ("DVP", "we", "us").
By creating an account or accessing the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Cockpit is an AI-powered knowledge management platform that helps teams and organizations work with their data to find answers, discover insights, and take action. It works with internal and publicly available data, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured sources.
The Platform provides:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and promptly update it if it changes.
Access to the Platform may require approval by your workspace administrator or by DVP. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You retain all rights to the data and content you connect to or upload to the Platform ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
We use Your Content solely to deliver and improve the Platform for you. We will never sell, rent, or share Your Content with third parties for their own purposes. We may use anonymized and aggregated usage patterns to improve the Platform's features and accuracy. Your content and conversations are not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the product, by us or by anyone else.
You grant DVP a limited license to access, process, index, and store Your Content solely to provide the Platform's services to you. This includes:

The Platform integrates with third-party services including cloud storage providers, AI processing services, and other technology partners. Your use of these services through the Platform is also subject to the respective terms of service of those providers.
When you connect a storage service, you authorize the Platform to access your files through that service's authorized connection. You can revoke this access at any time from the Platform settings or directly from your storage provider's security settings.
The Platform uses AI services to process your content, generate search indexes, and provide intelligent answers. AI-generated outputs are provided as-is and may not always be accurate or complete. You should verify important information independently.
Your content may be processed by AI services to generate search indexes, extract key information, and provide intelligent answers. These AI services operate under strict data processing agreements. Your data is not used to train AI models, by us or by our AI providers.
The Platform is designed for resilience and continuous operation but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform with reasonable notice. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DVP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Platform.
DVP's total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Platform in the twelve months preceding the claim.
The Platform, including its software, algorithms, models, user interface, and documentation, is the intellectual property of DVP and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Platform beyond the limited right to use it as described herein.
Certain features of the Platform may be offered as preview, beta, or early access. Unless covered by a separate service level agreement, these features are provided as-is and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time. We apply the same security and privacy standards to all features, but preview features may have limited functionality, support, or availability.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
